Privacy and Cookies Policy

This policy explains how Apriori Bio, Inc. ("Apriori," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit aprioribio.com (the "Site"), contact us, or apply for a job with us. It also serves as our cookies policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you send us. If you email us (for example at info@aprioribio.com), we receive your email address, name, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Job applications. Our careers page links to a job board run by Greenhouse Software, Inc. If you apply, the information you submit (such as your contact details, résumé, work history, and answers to application questions) is collected by Greenhouse on our behalf and is shared with us. Greenhouse's own privacy notice also applies to that information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

The Site does not have user accounts, and we do not ask visitors to submit sensitive personal information through it. Please do not send us health information, genetic information, government identifiers, or financial account details by email or through the Site.

2. How we use information

To respond to your messages and inquiries.
To review applications, evaluate candidates, and manage hiring.
To operate, secure, and maintain the Site, and to understand how it is used so that we can improve it.
To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, our users, and others.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only with:

Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, including Google (website analytics and tag management, and font delivery) and Greenhouse (recruiting). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
Affiliates. Flagship Labs, LLC and its affiliates, which provide us with administrative, IT, and security support.
Authorities and advisers where required by law or legal process, or to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a financing, merger, or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them as follows:

The Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. We do not use cookies to show you advertising.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies, and analytics stays off until you accept. We store your choice in your browser so that we do not ask again on every visit, and we keep a record of your choice (without your name or contact details) to show that we honored it. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the Site. You can also control cookies in your browser settings, and you can block or delete them at any time, though parts of the Site may then work differently. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Legal bases (UK and EEA visitors)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on: our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site, responding to inquiries); steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (job applications); your consent (analytics cookies, where required); and compliance with legal obligations.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use approved safeguards for transfers from the UK or EEA, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep information

We keep emails and inquiries for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward. Job application information is kept for 24 months after the position is filled, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires a different period. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you; access or receive a copy of it; correct it; delete it; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. This includes rights under the laws of California and other U.S. states, and the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. To make a request, email info@aprioribio.com. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party links

The Site links to other sites, including LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Greenhouse. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. We will post any updates on this page.
